Two Top Paralympians Jon and Jason Dunkerley from Canada who were both born totally blind, are currently facing a personal-injury lawsuit for crashing into another runner on a morning jog along Ottawa's Rideau Canal in 2010.

Amazingly the brothers are being sued for $350,000 in a statement of claim lodged by jogger Mimi Lepage, who has since had to have hip surgery after the incident on the morning of Jan. 24, 2010.

Her statement of claim details that she will need ongoing treatment and professional help for the remainder of her life, reporting tears of the hip, and injuries to her elbow and shoulder. However none of the allegations have been proven in court.

The collision occured around 10 a.m. on Jan. 24, 2010 along the Rideau Canal jogging path.

The claimant reports that after the collision the Dunkerleys dropped on top of Lepage, damaging her so badly she had difficulty walking and has been not able to tend to housekeeping, let alone run.

“The collision was caused by the negligence of the defendants, Jon and Jason, who, as elite runners and users of the public recreational path, owed a duty to other users of the path not to create a risk or harm to those users,'' the statement of claim alleges.

This Funny Lawsuit against the blind runners also claims they were “running at an unsafe speed given the circumstances, including their abilities, their method of communicating with their guides, the terrain of the path, the size of their running group, and the number of other users of the path at the time.''

The lawsuit also alleges that the group of runners attempted “to pass other users of the recreational path when it was unsafe to do so'' and that the nine-member formation failed to share the popular jogging path.

Lepage's statement of claim alleges that the blind runners “owed a duty of care to other users of the recreational path not to create a hazard or situation of danger that the other users cannot avoid.''

The claim also states that the running group failed to “take other evasive measures to avoid striking Ms. Lepage.''

Lepage also named her son, born in 2002, as a plaintiff in the claim. In that part of the claim she has cited “loss of care, guidance and companionship.''

Reached Thursday, Jon Dunkerley, 31, told the Ottawa Citizen that he feels “horrible'' about what happened to Lepage but said it was an accident. He said he is seeking legal advice with the full intention of vigorously defending himself, as is his brother.

We have a report of a couple who were trying to fill out their fantasies with a bondage sex play and they themselves ended up in handcuffs.

The Portland couple were arrested on 14th February or Valentines Day after cops mistook a tied and naked lady in the back of a car for a crime in progress, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Nikolas Harbar, 31, says he was only "role-playing" when he allegedly tied up his naked girlfriend, 26-year-old Stephanie Pelzner and locked her in the back of his Subaru just after lunch, according to a police report. But the bondage role-play went awry when cops received a 911 call from a concerned witness who was watching the action.

"Officers continued to check the area, concerned for the welfare of the bound and naked female," the report reads. "The vehicle was spotted … an officer made contact with a male walking away from the car and noticed a bound and naked female in the back of the car."

Harbar told cops that the two "were just having some fun," and the lady involved also confirmed that "she was voluntarily bound a nude." But police weren't so easy to laugh it off — After all, they had already sent at least nine patrol cars to look for the couple, Fox News reported.

"The concern is their actions created a pretty substantial public alarm, to the point where you have a 911 caller saying she's concerned about this person tied up naked in the back of a car," Lt. Robert King, bureau spokesman, told the Los Angeles Times. "Why would the officers think it was a Valentine's Day thing … it creates a lot of concern from the public."

Harbar and Pelzner were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, but released later that day, fully clothed.

We always thought it looked a bit like a heart but since it's been on Google Earth everyone else has seen it too and the whole world seems to want to stay here.'

The 14-year-old Gresham, Oregon boy was taken into custody on Wednesday after the boy posted an update on his facebook status to "somehow the police haven't found me yet"

The police have then located the 14 year old at the Sam Barlow High School.

It is reported the Van the 14 year old was driving sideswiped another vehicle late Tuesday afternoon and rolled a number of times.

The 14 year old is now booked in to go to the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Facility on a number of offences.

It is reported that after the chase a squad of K9 followed the boy tracks west Stone Road but were unable to find the boy then.

The driver of the BMW that was hit was rushed to Oregon Health and Science University in critical condition and later upgraded to serious condition, it is reported.

The other drivers name was Dean Jackson Pace, 52, and was driving a BMW SUV. The driver of the SUV had suffered several broken ribs a ruptured spleen and a punctured lung.

Luckily The driver of the SUV was wearing a seat belt and the SUV's airbags deployed.
 

Three Sangli sisters are suffering from a rare genetic disorder referred to as werewolf syndrome – where they are covered from head to toe in thick and often black hair.

Named Savita, 23, Monisha, 18, and 16-year-old Savitri Sangli, they reside in a village near Pune, doctors believe they were passed down the hypertrichosis universalis disorder from their genetic father.

The Medical term Hypertrichosis universalis is a unusual genetic mutation, in which cells that normally turn off hair growth in uncommon areas, such as the eyelids and forehead, are left switched on.

The girls have excessive hair growth on their faces, which affects their eyebrows, nose and portrays them a beard.

To combat the problem the sisters partake in hair removal cream to keep their condition under wraps on a short term basis.

It is possible to have laser surgery for Rs 3,50,000, but the family is not wealthy enough to afford the specialised treatment.

The mother Anita Sambhaji Raut has 6 daughters in total with three of them living with werewolf syndrome.

The dog, and it's owner and the rescue firefighter involved in the Smith Reservoir rescue Tuesday afternoon were recording in the 9News studios with Dyer for a follow up report on the dramatic rescue, according to The Denver Post. In the clip below, Dyer is seen kneeling on the floor petting the dog's neck and getting close to it's face (big mistake), when suddenly Max, perhaps still traumatized from the rescue, bares his teeth, lunges and bites Dyer's face.

On the 9News Facebook page, viewers reacted to the bite with sympathy for Dyer's injury. Some expressed that it might have been too early to put the dog on television or that perhaps Dyer may have been too close to the dog's face and that his "reaction was out of trauma."
